Eye Examinations

During your examination, we’ll take the time to discuss all aspects about your vision and eye health. Our comprehensive testing will include everything relevant to your individual needs and may include any or all of the following:-

• Assessment of visual acuity (how well you can see)

• Internal pressures of the eyes

• Eye muscle balance and coordination

• Evaluation of the outer structures of the eye using microscopes and digital photography

• Evaluation of the internal structures of the eye (we’ll check for signs of cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration). This will often include ultra-widefield digital imaging and scanning

• Measurement of your eye prescription

• Assessment of your field of vision

• Detailed scans of the macula and nerve using OCT technology

• If you wear contact lenses, we will assess the fit and performance and check to ensure you are wearing the optimal lenses to suit your eyes.

• Following the examination, we will discuss all results and findings with you in plain English. We’ll also make recommendations based on these findings.
