Optometrist - Justin Hardy
Justin graduated from the University of Johannesburg, South Africa, in 1994 with a Bachelor of Optometry (B.Optom) degree. He has since also completed a Certificate of Advanced Study (CAS) in Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease from the New England College of Optometry, Boston USA, and in 2015, he completed his Independent Prescribers (DipTp(IP))qualification through Aston University.
Justin started work in private practice shortly after graduating and managed a practice in South Africa for 5 years before moving to the UK in 1999. After registering with the General Optical Council, he worked in a large practice in Norwich before moving to Bournemouth in 2001 as a partner to start an Independent practice. He helped build this into a very successful practice offering many specialist services.
In 2018, Justin acquired this practice. He felt it was a perfect fit as he could build on the current success and enhance the customer experience with his passion for excellence in eye care and personalised attention.
He has a special interest in contact lenses including myopia control, keratoconus and complex lens fitting, as well as management of dry eye and ocular surface conditions.
During his off-time, Justin enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, running and cycling. He is a member of St Albans Round Table, having previously been chairman of Bournemouth Round Table while living there.
